I don’t know about you, but I haven’t opened a newspaper in years. When I get flyers in the mailbox, they go straight to the recycle. I don’t have cable television anymore, to watch commercials. So, where am I being advertised to? Where are your customers being advertised to? Ask yourself that.

And think about where are we in this day and age? What’s the best way to market your business online? My answer? Video.

And in today’s video, I’m going to share with you all the ways that you can market your business online, through video without spending a ton of time or money or having an amazing production team around you. I put out videos like this every single week to teach entrepreneurs how they can grow and scale their business, and scale their audience and ROI. And I also have a 21 day, Infinite Video Impact challenge where over the 21 days, I teach you how to create your entire video strategy, your messaging, your offers, and we even had students who have grown their channel up to 1000 subscribers within the 21 days, and had paying clients.

You know this thing right here, the phone. I have one attached to me at all times. And maybe you do too. A lot of us do, a lot of your customers do. And like I said before, I am not watching commercials on television, I’m not paying attention to the direct mail that lands in my mailbox. I’m not opening newspapers anymore, the way that the world is shifting, that we have these devices, in our pocket, we have our computers all the time that are showing us ads, that we’re scrolling through timelines, we are being infiltrated by content, by entertainment, and by advertisements. And if you know where your customer is spending the most time, that’s where you should be spending your time, to meet them and be able to advertise your amazing products your services, your message, and spread awareness about who you are.

Personally, everything changed for me in my business, when I started using video. I was a dental hygienist. I had that as my nine to five, and I was doing a little bit of social media management as my side hustle for a little bit of side income. But I knew that I wanted to be able to grow into my business full time. And everything changed when I started using video. I started making these videos, where I would answer questions that would give some value. And then I would have a call to action for them to sign up for my email list, or have a strategy call with me, or something where I could nurture them and bring them to the next level of conversation with me.

What would the alternative be? Cold calling? People don’t like to be cold-called with cold displays. I don’t really answer the phone, unless I know the phone number. And it’s kind of an interruption to your day. But when you can use video to have search intent, and search interrupt content, meaning when people are searching on Google, and maybe one of your videos comes up, because remember, Google and YouTube are both search engines. And you can have videos be showing up on the search engines for when people are looking for solutions, and search interrupt content when people are scrolling through their timelines. And they find a video that has value or entertainment or something that just really captivates and compels your audience. That’s going to be the way to reach your audience and meet them where they’re at, instead of cold calling and interrupting their day, and potentially getting hung up on.

Video is the most consumed content right now. There’s just no other way that connects better. Whether it’s through, just speaking to the camera, or if you want to have a bunch of B roll if you want to make these amazing video ads with effects and pyrotechnics, and all the crazy things that are going to capture people’s attention. Even think of, if we do go to Superbowl commercials. People love watching the Superbowl commercials, because they’re entertaining, they’re funny, you know, they put a lot of effort into it.

Well, you don’t have to put that really expensive production quality into a Superbowl ad, you could do a video, with even just your iPhone, and put it on the internet, run some Facebook ads to it, put it on YouTube, where it can be found organically through search discoverable, even years later.

That’s what I’m talking about when I say that you need to use video, to market your business online. I have videos that I made in 2016, years ago, that people are still finding all day every day, because of how it shows up in search results. Imagine that making a video once, and having it positioned, through search engine optimization, have it on YouTube, that people can find it all day every day. And then what you do is, in that video, have a call to action where they can take the next step and develop that relationship with you. So whether it’s by having something for free that you can give them, that they can click the link below, and join your email list to be able to get that.

By being on your email list, they can get newsletters, and get to know more about you and your products and services, where you’ll continue to give value and nurture that relationship.

Your people, your perfect dream customers are out there. It’s just that the way that you’re going to market to them has changed.
