Are you busy building your business? Or are you busy chasing your tail?
Too many people keep themselves busy working on the wrong things that don’t grow their business. They don’t take the time to slow down enough to be the visionary and dream up all the ideas that could change the world and the trajectory of your life’s work.
Sometimes the best work happens when you work less.
Isaac Newton sat down under a tree and an apple fell on his head. If he were maybe lost in his iPhone or simply scrolled through his Facebook timeline the concept of gravity may have never entered his awareness and become one of the most important discoveries of life today. He let the moment engage his mind so he could be present and focused. His ability to be silent and present in that moment was the key to him discovering the laws of gravity.
Have you ever thought of what you might be missing out on when you’re keeping yourself so busy? Have you considered that the business might be a mechanism to protect yourself from the next step because you’re afraid of what’s coming? Is your business an excuse that keeps you in a cycle of doing rather than being the person the world needs you to be to create your message and your movement and your product that will change lives? And if you’re someone that wants to grow your business then you already know that slaving away over your computer, not having systems or a team in place, or the time to be a visionary daily will lead to not only burnout but a potentially failed business.
My question for you, how much of your time is divided between being a visionary versus integrating and implementing in your business? How much time do you have free to dream up your big plans? What do you need in your business to be able to spend more time in that visionary role?
If you’re an entrepreneur that’s spending too much time doing the tactical work in your business but you want to step into your strategy, into your calling, create a profound impact and live in your purpose and for a purpose, I have a Facebook group just for you, Entrepreneur On Purpose and I hope you’ll join us.
