Life is all about problem solving, isn’t it? And as entrepreneurs, we base our entire businesses off of one big problem that shakes out into much smaller problems that we intend to solve. Whether you’re making a product to solve it or you’re offering a service to walk people through to the solution phase, that problem is your main driver.

So define the problem, and you’re halfway to the solution. Now, you might hear that and think “well… duh – you obviously have to figure out your problem before you try to solve it”, but you’d be surprised how many entrepreneurs and influencers try to do this the other way around.

I’m talking about the noise-makers out there, or entrepreneurs who have good intentions but are living by this “publish your face off” mentality. If you don’t know the theme of your content, you don’t know your problem. And if you don’t know your problem, you’re sure as heck not going to be able to solve it for people.

When I started my own business helping entrepreneurs to develop an online presence for their businesses, I really didn’t know much about what types of problems entrepreneurs could have. I could speculate but I didn’t know firsthand what that experience was like and what problems they had – aside from wanting a social media following. 

As I gained my footing in the business I began listening to my clients’ needs, I learned about their problems. I learned about the gaps in their experience and what I could do to fill those gaps.

That’s the thing with the noise-makers on social media – they make their own noise. They aren’t listening to anyone, and because of that, they’re going to have a really difficult time getting anywhere with their content long-term. Sure, their Instagram pictures might get a lot of likes today, but if they’re only promoting products or services that serve THEM and not their audience, they won’t stay relevant for long.

So after doing research and discovering firsthand what my clients needed, I really started narrow down the problems that I would focus on solving for them long-term. 

And the solution, to me, was clear – FREEDOM. Time freedom, financial freedom. Never having to count down the hours or minutes until the weekend. Never having to calculate how much money you need to get through the month. Now that I’ve been on both sides of this coin – being financially free and having time freedom & being far from it… I can fully empathize with that desire that entrepreneurs have to achieve this kind of freedom.

Now, with every piece of content I put out and every new offer I create, I hone in on this problem and demonstrate through my offers how I can help my clients solve it. 

Making your clients happy and satisfied with their investment is one thing, but imagine how it would feel to solve their BIGGEST problem? To discover their biggest conflict or difficulty and make it disappear? How much of an impact could you make on their businesses? On their lives? How much more likely would they be to refer their friends? They’d be over the moon to have had this kind of help and received this level of value from you. It would be life-changing, and all because you cared enough to figure out their problem and find a way to solve it.
