One of the biggest mistakes people make when they’re putting out YouTube videos for the first time is treating it like just another social media platform. In reality, YouTube isn’t a social media platform at all. It’s a SEARCH ENGINE! Think of it more like Google! 

As my base of clients started to grow, I quickly noticed that they had a lot of the same questions about social media, so I started making videos as a way to answer them. 

I didn’t know the science behind thumbnails, or using keywords in my titles to keep my videos from being drowned in the depths of YouTube before ever getting visibility. And trust me, building a following didn’t happen overnight for me. I’ve been where you are and I know it can be discouraging.

From algorithms, to getting on someone’s recommended page, it takes time. Unlike Instagram, you can’t use a ton of hashtags to get that instant gratification of a few likes. Youtube is all about long term commitment, which may mean delayed gratification. But long term payoff.
