How to Batch Film Your Content (6 Months of Content in 3 Days!)

How to create 60 days of social media and video content in 8 hours

The VIP Code

When I first started making YouTube videos, I did it all myself and I would spend an entire Sunday, which I don’t know about you, but for me, Sunday is a family day, nonnegotiable. I’d spend an entire day scripting, filming, editing, uploading, one video. Two crickets.

As entrepreneurs, we all know that as our businesses start to grow, our time starts to become more and more limited. It was important for me to create content for my channel but it was also just as important for me to grow my business and have a life outside of it. I needed to have a more productive way to create content without having to spend an entire Sunday filming just one video.

So I’m going to show you the exact method that I use for my channel and for all my clients’ channels that have given them massive results without the time constraint. Let’s get started.

The first thing is scripting. What kind of video are you going to be creating? Start with brain dumping all of your ideas and then organizing them into keywords and topics. So, for example, we just worked with one of our favorite clients, Cristy Code Red, we filmed a year’s worth of content in three days. We did 52 video scripts and we did that by having a messaging course. What we do is that we understand what’s going on in the business, what do the clients want, what are they excited about talking about, and also what are their marketing strategies so that we can then lead all those videos to a call to action, into a lead magnet, into their email list, where they can continue being nurtured, into their sales, into everything they have going on. So we look at what are the things going on in the business. We do the keyword research, to see what are people actually searching for, that we can then title the videos, and do the YouTube SEO, so that they will show up in front of people, who are looking for it. This is what is going to give you a great headstart, and you know exactly what you are talking about, and the types of videos, that you are then going to be filming.

After we come up with all of those video ideas, the scripts for them, then we storyboard them. We plan out each video, including the B-Roll, what’s that going to look like. B-Roll, by the way, is like that background footage. So if I’m talking about being on the phone with a client. I could be talking about that, while on top of it, there’s actual footage of me on the phone. So when you do that, you know exactly what to expect, and what you’re going to want to film. You’re going to have to set aside that time, so you know what is this going to look like? How long is it going to take to get all this footage? How many locations do I need to film from? It doesn’t have to be complicated, you could be filming right in your living room. The VIP code, sets aside at least three days to film every six months, so that you can get six months of content in three days with all of your video content. So we’ve created the entire video strategy, what are the pieces of content we’re creating? How does that align and lead to the call to action?

So now we’re also building our list and supporting our marketing launches through it, we’ve storyboarded, we’ve scripted, and now we’re ready to film, and what we like to do is to batch film that content, because what happens when you get rolling, you get in the groove, you’re able to keep flowing, often times when you start filming, you might be a little rusty. Honestly, when we first started this video, I needed to take a few takes.

So as you keep practicing, as you keep talking, you’re going to get into a groove, you’re going to start flowing, and so when you can batch film your content, you’re going to be able to get the most out of it. If you can clear a full day off the calendar, even three days, you’ll be able to get a ton of content done and get it done even faster than if you had just done it in pieces. Even think of how much time it takes you to set up the camera. Ten minutes here and there, add up so much over time. If you have to do it every single day, for one video. So you’re going to save so much time, and be able to get so many more resources, and impact, and profit from it.

And if you want to know more in depth, our entire strategy, step-by-step, from concept to execution, I actually have a masterclass, called How to Create 60 Days of Social Media and Video Content in 8 Hours. Where I walk you through, how to come up with those ideas, how to do the YouTube SEO, how we batch film, and how to position it for profit using YouTube as a search engine.

I want to know, are you someone that’s ready? Are you going to batch film this content? And when you do, I want you to take a picture of yourself filming, put it on your Instagram stories. Tag me in it, I’m going to share it out to my audience, tell them where to follow you, can’t wait to see you crush it.
