You’ve got the right content, perfect title, excellent choices for the tags, well-written descriptions, and you’ve more or less made noise on social media, but your video is still not getting views?
I get you. It can be an exhausting feat.
Don’t worry, today I have five different ways to push your YouTube videos for more views. Word of caution though. Video marketing in itself is a process. While these steps can boost your views, it still requires consistency to build a large following. Consistent performance trumps overnight viral sensations almost any time.

Now, here are the different ways to drive higher views.
Use cards to push for views. Did you notice those little boxy bubbles that pop out of other people’s videos with messages such as subscribe or watch more or links to another video? These are YouTube cards. They’re an excellent way to drive up your video views. Simply link your videos to each other or to your channels to compel users to watch your content. They’re a great way to direct users to other content you have. Use these to cleverly lock videos together in succession. You can also try placing cards from your most popular uploads to your recent ones.
Create playlists. Another great way to increase views is through playlists. These are groups of videos that will play in succession once the video being watched by the user is completed. Playlists come up separately in search results. They present excellent opportunities for content creators who want to create interest in a group of content. Since the video plays automatically after one another, they’re great at generating overall views. They can also be embedded in your blogs or website.
Contribute to the community. As they say, no man is an island. By being part of the YouTube community, it will benefit you more than you expect. Comment on the videos you like, subscribe and interact with other YouTube creators from your field. Reaching out to other YouTubers will introduce you to their set of followers and viewers. Broaden your sites by collaborating with them, and it will help link you to a bigger audience.
Focus on building your subscriber base. The best way to get more views is to build your subscriber base. These people are your established fan base, and they’ll be the first to be notified whenever you have something out. The more subscribers you get, the more views you have.
Send your email list a link to the videos you publish, and encourage them to subscribe. Or, post teaser videos on your other social media platforms, and encourage your followers to go there to YouTube, to watch the full video, and then to subscribe.
Ride on popular content. One of the best ways to generate views is to follow the trends. You can start by creating content that taps into a trending video or topic. It could be remaking of a scene, remixing of a popular song, review of a movie. Another way is to create a video response to another popular video. The possibilities are endless, as long as you can latch onto something big. Title your content similarly to that video, music, or original content, so that you may be recommended by YouTube if the video picks up. Most importantly, don’t forget to give credit where it is due.
Getting YouTube views is relatively easy once you systematically figure out how to do it.
